Gao Magee Gallery specializes in Chinese Contemporary Art. The gallery’s main objective is to promote and integrate Chinese contemporary artwork into the Spanish and European markets. Gao Magee Gallery is supported by the IAC Foundation and Iberia Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing. The gallery works with artists born in the generations of 70´s and 80´s, but also develops specific projects with artists of earlier generations and well established careers. The gallery presents a multidisciplinary program that attempts to reflect research and continuous evolution of artwork that is developed in China at this time. Gao Magee Gallery is located at Dr. Fourquet Street, on Madrid’s artistic district closed to Reina Sofía Contemporary Art Center and other important galleries such as Helga de Alvear. The management and selection of artists is developed in Beijing office, located in 798 Art Zone, along with a curatorial team and a space connected to the Iberia Center for Contemporary Art. In Spain, the gallery advises in the selection of artworks, adjustment of projects according to Madrid’s exhibition space, and the positioning strategy for artists in Europe. Our main interest is to introduce artists to public and private collections, as well as internationally profiled exhibitions that integrate Chinese artists in the international scene of contemporary art.
